Business leader Wayne Yip Choy has died, with police believing he passed away at his Westmoorings home yesterday afternoon.
Yip Choy was a prominent figure in Trinidad and Tobago’s manufacturing sector, leading companies including Kiss Baking Company and Caribbean Development Company, and serving as president of the Manufacturers’ Association.
He also played a key role in the turnaround of Angostura Holdings following the CL Financial crisis, later winning a multi-million dollar legal battle with the company.
His death has sent shockwaves across the local business community.
