Two families in Point Fortin have received more than $50,000 in Government assistance, through disaster relief and home repair grants.
The distribution took place on Saturday, by Social Development Minister Vandana Mohit, at the recipients’ homes.
One Cap-de-Ville resident got over $44,000 for home repairs, plumbing and electrical work.
The other recipient, of Fanny Village, received $6,500 in disaster relief after strong winds damaged his home last year.
