Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and several Ministers visited the UWI South (Debe) Campus today.
During this time, they received updates from project teams on the ongoing restoration works and the structured plan to bring the campus into operation.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the Campus in expanding access to tertiary education, particularly for students in South Trinidad.
She added that the benefits extend beyond students and expects the campus to stimulate economic activity and job creation in surrounding communities.
