Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to assist Venezuela “in whatever humanitarian way we can during this difficult time”.
In a social media post, the Prime Minister expressed sympathy to the Government and people of Venezuela, following yesterday’s fatal earthquakes.
In a statement last evening, the Foreign Affairs Ministry said the Government stands ready to provide any support and assistance requested by Venezuela, where possible.
