There are currently no reports of T&T nationals being killed or injured, following yesterday’s deadly earthquakes in Venezuela.

This is according to the latest update from the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

Four nationals, who were in the country for a sporting event, are receiving temporary accommodation, ground transportation and assistance with returning home safely.

T&T nationals in affected areas who need assistance, or who wish to register their presence can contact the Embassy of Trinidad and Tobago in Caracas using its emergency telephone numbers.

The Ministry says while the Embassy sustained only superficial damage, the facility is currently inaccessible due to extensive road closures.
