Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar says the Government will continue investing in education and opportunities for young people, while equipping them with skills for the future.
In an International Youth Day message, she described young people as innovators, leaders and change-makers who will shape T&T future.
The 2026 observance is being held under the theme “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations.”
UN Secretary-General António Guterres said young people are already leading as organisers and innovators, but need skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving and digital literacy to go further.
