An investigation has been launched by the North West Regional Health Authority into an incident allegedly involving a patient and staff members, at the Maternity Department of the Port of Spain General Hospital.
The probe follows the circulation of a social media video claiming to show the incident.
In a statement, the NWRHA says the investigation will be conducted thoroughly and impartially, with appropriate action to be taken if any breacjhes of policy or professional standards are identified.
The Authority says it will provide no further comment while the investigation is ongoing.
