The Government plans to introduce new legislation to address noise complaints.
This revelation was made today to 103.1FM News by Homeland Security Minister Roger Alexander.
According to him, these measures are expected to come in the new parliamentary term.
Last year, Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar announced plans for stronger noise laws, including designated quiet hours and new restrictions on fetes, music trucks, residential parties and bars.
She described noise pollution as “a nuisance” and ordered fetes at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy to stop because of complaints from residents.
