One man is dead and a firearm seized following a police-involved shooting in Chaguanas early this morning.
Around 3:35am, officers responded to a report of a home invasion in progress.
Upon arrival, they observed a man crouched between a parked vehicle and nearby bushes.
Despite verbal commands, the suspect allegedly pointed an object resembling a firearm in their direction, causing the officers to open fire.
The unidentified suspect later died at the Chaguanas Health Facility, while a pistol and a cordless grinder were recovered at the scene.
