Heritage Petroleum says clean-up operations are underway following reports of oil sightings near Rangie Nanan Drive in Tarouba.
In a media release, the company said while contaminated soil is being removed from the area as a priority, investigations are underway.
Heritage says representatives are also engaging nearby residents, addressing concerns and providing support, while air quality testing and monitoring continue as a precautionary measure.
The Energy Ministry, EMA and other regulatory agencies have been notified and remain involved in the response efforts.
