Minister in the Housing Ministry Phillip Edward Alexander has warned that persons illegally occupying HDC properties and common areas will be removed.
His comments follow the eviction of illegal occupants from an abandoned HDC site office at Charford Court after complaints from residents.
Minister Alexander said the occupants had been living there for years and were allegedly responsible for sabotaging water pumps serving the compound, adding that demolition has begun on the abandoned office.
He added that several mechanics operating from the parking area have been given until Friday to remove their vehicles and equipment or face removal.
The Minister also called on the public to report illegal occupation of HDC properties, saying all reports will be investigated and acted on.
