Guyana hosts Dominican Republic President Abinader for two-day state visit

Guyana Prime Minister Mark Phillips welcomed the President of the Dominican Republic Luis Abinader Corona, upon his arrival at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport on Wednesday evening for two-day state visit.

Accompanied by Foreign Affairs Minister Hugh Todd and Ambassador Ernesto Torres Pereyra, the Prime Minister received the visiting delegation to initiate a series of bilateral engagements.

During the visit, President Abinader will hold discussions with President Irfaan Ali and other government officials focused on deepening diplomatic ties and expanding cooperation across key sectors.

On Wednesday night, Dr Ali launched the Guyana Grand Prix — the third leg of the GT Challenge de las Américas in the company of President Abinader.
