The Prime Minister has dismissed claims of a nationwide shutdown of transport services, telling Parliament that the country’s maxi-taxi network continues its operations.
Responding to concerns raised by Opposition MP Colm Imbert in Parliament today, Mrs. Persad-Bissessar reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to addressing issues affecting the transport sector.
The Prime Minister also praised maxi-taxi operators, describing them as hardworking individuals who continue to provide an essential service.
