An extensive fire swept through Globe City Complex near the Chase Village flyover this morning.
The blaze sent thick black smoke into the air and slowed northbound traffic along the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway.
According to the T&T Express, initial reports indicate that the fire reportedly broke out around 9AM and quickly spread through the compound, which houses several businesses.
Fire officers from various stations were on the scene trying to contain the blaze.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
