The EMA recently honoured leading organisations at the Green Leaf Awards 2026, recognising excellence in sustainability, innovation and climate action.
The event, which also marked the return of the Authority’s national environmental awards programme, was held under the theme “Celebrating Sustainability in the Private Sector”.
Delivering the feature address, Finance Minister Dave Tancoo said environmental responsibility and economic growth must go hand in hand for a resilient Trinidad and Tobago.
THA Chief Secretary Farley Augustine also highlighted the importance of sustainability.
EMA Chairman Doolar Ramlal noted the role of the private sector in protecting the environment, adding that businesses are helping drive innovation, climate action and sustainable development.
Award winners included 3 Circles Energy Consultants, Aquatik Solutions, Milagros Solutions, Close the Loop Caribbean, and Renewable Power Caribbean, among others, with several firms receiving merit awards.
