The Education Ministry is moving ahead with plans to reintroduce the Continuous Assessment Component, known as CAC, as part of a broader effort to modernize student evaluation.
Today, Education Minister Dr Michael Dowlath met with denominational boards of education to discuss the initiative, which will complement the Secondary Entrance Assessment.
The Ministry says the CAC will provide a more holistic measure of student achievement, focusing on areas such as character development, creativity, collaboration and critical thinking.
Stakeholder consultations across the education sector are continuing.
