Public Utilities Minister Barry Padarath says contingency measures are in place, following a disruption at the El Socorro Booster Station.
Responding to an urgent question from MP Marvin Gonzales, he said WASA is managing the situation through structured operational controls.
Mr Padarath said these measures will continue, despite ongoing technical issues, including a recent motor failure that delayed full restoration.
He also pointed to years of under-investment, saying the system is now being stabilised through structured contingency operations while repairs continue.
