CATT cheque presentation 2

The Children’s Authority has received over $36 million to cover outstanding debts.

Cheques were presented today by Minister of the People, Vandana Mohit.

The money will cover audited sums that represent payments for long-outstanding invoices for operational services and contractual obligations,

This includes:

• About $31.3 million for security service invoices for various providers.
• About $3 million for payment of invoices for works at the National Care and Empowerment Centre.
• Just under $2 million for janitorial services.

The Ministry says the payments reflect its commitment to addressing “inherited debts” and promoting accountability, improving service delivery, and safeguarding the welfare of the nation’s most vulnerable citizens.
