A call has been made by NCIC President Dr Surujdeo Mangaroo to rename the Piarco International Airport in honour of former Prime Minister Basdeo Panday.
During the NCIC’s Indian Arrival Day programme, Dr Mungroo described the proposal as a fitting tribute to the former leader.
Dr Mangaroo pledged the NCIC’s commitment to honouring and promoting the heritage passed down to future generations by the forefathers.
