Caribbean Airlines says passengers impacted by the disruption of Flight BW485 from Orlando to Trinidad will be compensated in accordance with its established policies.

103.1FM News reported that a number of travellers were still in Orlando up to today, after the flight, originally scheduled for August 2nd, was cancelled.

There were also complaints about a lack of information from the Airline regarding the situation.

In a customer advisory issued today, CAL said the flight was cancelled after a technical issue was identified with the aircraft.

It added that while it understands the disruption caused, it does not compromise on safety under any circumstances.

According to the Airline, a number of passengers were accommodated on a scheduled service on Monday, while a dedicated aircraft was dispatched today to transport the remaining affected persons to Trinidad.
