A 5.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded early this morning off the coast of Venezuela.
The UWI Seismic Research Centre says the quake occurred at 4:14AM, at a depth of 75 kilometres.
The epicentre was located about 113 kilometres east of Port of Spain.
The UWI-SRC says this preliminary information is subject to revision.
