Finance Minister Dave Tancoo says the Government is establishing a new fiscal review committee to determine how T&T will be compensated for cross-border natural gas projects.
Responding to former Energy Minister Stuart Young in Parliament this morning, Minister Tancoo outlined the new fiscal measures.
Minister Tancoo noted that the previous administration failed to finalize a fiscal framework for projects involving foreign gas fields such as Dragon and Loran-Manatee.
However, Mr Young questioned whether introducing new fiscal measures could affect ongoing negotiations with multinational energy companies.
