Workers have blocked the entrance to WASA’s Head Office in St Joseph, to protest stalled wage negotiations.
According to reports, the PSA has accused WASA’s team of failing to make submissions that were essential for the matter to move forward.
103.1FM News understands the matter remains unresolved, despite talks continuing into the night yesterday.
Several workers also seem to have heeded a call from the union to not work “as usual” until management advances the counter-proposals for approval.
Our newsroom spoke to WASA’s Corporate Communications Manager, Kristy Ramnarine, who said the company’s management is working on the issues raised by the union.
She also denied reports of a protest on the compound yesterday, saying the workers had instead gathered as requested by the union for an update.
