The Commission of Inquiry into the July 18th sinking of the MV Barima is finalising arrangements for the start of public hearings.
Attorney Javid Shadick, who is Secretary to the Commission, said the secretariat is currently addressing legal and administrative requirements that will guide the proceedings.
Once completed, a public notice will be issued outlining the details and informing the public and media on how the hearings will be conducted.
Led by Justice Godfrey Phillip Smith of Belize, the five-member Commission was sworn-in to investigate the circumstances surrounding the capsizing and sinking of the MV Barima.
