A woman and a man have been held in connection with a robbery in Debe.
The victim was conducting sales around 2pm yesterday, when he was approached by a man who snatched his gold bera and a gold hand band.
The suspect then fled in a waiting white Toyota Fielder Wagon driven by a woman.
The vehicle was intercepted a short while later along the M2 Ring Road and the two suspects – a 28-year-old woman of La Romaine and a 31-year-old man of Carenage – were held.
The male suspect was also found to be in possession of the stolen jewellery.
