A woman is in critical condition with third degree burns, after fireworks were accidently discharged yesterday.
According to the T&T Express, the incident took place yesterday morning, at the Queen’s Park Savannah, during preparations for the evening’s Independence Day fireworks and drone display.
Reports indicated that the victim, a representative of Firepower Fireworks, was attaching an electronic match to a firework motor housing, causing an explosion.
She was taken to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital by officers of the Fire Service.
