West Indies are out of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, following an 8-wicket defeat at the hands of Australia.
Batting first, the Windies struggled to put runs on the board, save scores of 30 from Hayley Matthews, 26 not out from Deandra Dottin and 22 from Shemaine Campbelle.
In the end, they could muster up 125/7.
Australia made short work of the target, with Beth Mooney hitting 61 not out on their way to 127/2.
Australia are now into their 8th Women’s T20 World Cup final and will be hoping to win their 6th title.
The West Indies meanwhile has some worries ahead of the matchup, with Deandra Dottin falling ill moments before the match.
At one point she was carried onto the field by her teammates, however she recovered in time to bat lower down the order.
There is no word yet from Cricket West Indies on her ailment and status.
