The Water and Sewerage Authority says water restoration is progressing strongly across Castara and nearby communities in Tobago following recent supply disruptions.
WASA says repairs to leaks in the transmission and distribution network, carried out in collaboration with the Tobago House of Assembly, have helped improve water pressure and stabilise supply.
Electrical and mechanical repairs at the treatment plant were also completed by 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
As a result, residents in Parlatuvier at Bamboo Hill received pipe-borne water this morning, while Castara residents benefited from scheduled distribution last evening.
Customers in the Castara Housing Scheme and Castara High Points are expected to receive a pipe-borne supply later this evening.
