The University of the West Indies is warning the public about a fraudulent website, falsely claiming to be affiliated with the institution.
The UWI says the site is not authorised and is using its name and branding without permission, and adds that it is taking steps with international authorities to have it removed.
The site contains a personal data form and the University warns that any information submitted is not received by the UWI.
Persons who may have interacted with the website or have relevant information are urged to contact The UWI at:oadmin@uwi.edu
The public, including prospective students and stakeholders, is urged to avoid sharing personal or financial details and to verify all information only through official UWI websites and platforms.
