On Monday, UWI St. Augustine once again began to enforce its ‘No Thoroughfare Zone’ Policy.
This is part of its ongoing effort to strengthen traffic management and enhance security for all Campus users.
From Mondays to Fridays, excluding public holidays, vehicles displaying valid 2026/2027 UWI Vehicle Permits may enter the Campus via the North Gate, near Republic Bank; or the South Gate, closest to the Churchill Roosevelt Highway.
Vehicles without valid permits will be redirected to the Visitors’ Entrance at Daaga Gate on St. Augustine Circular Road, opposite Freedom Hall.
There, stringent security screening will be in effect before access to the Campus is granted.
Motorists are also being reminded of the 30-kilometre-per-hour speed limit in effect across the Campus.
