UTT Executive Chairman, Professor Selwyn Cudjoe, is calling on students to pursue additional studies in the area of renewable energy.
The call came as the University hosted the Award Ceremony for the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Education School Competition 2025.
The competition forms part of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Education Project, a nation-wide initiative led by UTT’s Outreach and Industry Relations Unit in collaboration with the ministries of Tertiary Education and Energy.
Top primary school honours went to Brasso Venado Government Primary School, with Naparima Girls’ High School capturing the secondary-level title.
Building on Professor Cudjoe’s call was Tertiary Education Minister, Professor Prakash Persad, who said there is a national responsibility to lead the transition to sustainable energy solutions, not just by policy, but by human resources.
