Philip Kern has officially been appointed as the new Chargé d’Affaires ad interim at the US Embassy in Port of Spain, as of June 2026.
Mr Kern, a seasoned diplomat, most recently served as Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Burkina Faso.
He succeeds Dr Jenifer Neidhart de Ortiz, who has served as Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy in since August 2023.
The Embassy says it looks forward to his leadership as it continues to strengthen relations between the US & TT.
