Indian singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has been honoured with his own commemorative day, by the Los Angeles City Council.
The council has declared January 6, 2027, as “Diljit Dosanjh Day,” recognising his contributions to globalising Punjabi music and promoting South Asian representation in mainstream American culture.
The resolution was introduced by Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez.
He shared the video via his Instragram platform on June 19th, when he received the framed resolution at a private gathering.
Dosanjh, one of India’s biggest international stars, is currently on his global Dil-Luminati tour.
