The United States is preparing for a diplomatic transition in Venezuela.
Outgoing ChargΓ© dβAffaires Laura Dogu has announced she will conclude her assignment in Caracas and return to Washington, thanking Donald Trump and Marco Rubio for the opportunity to serve.
She will be replaced by diplomat John Barrett, who is expected to arrive soon to assume the role.
The U.S. Embassy says its team will continue advancing a three-phase plan aimed at strengthening relations between Washington and Caracas during this new diplomatic phase.
