Two men are dead following a police-involved shooting, during an anti-crime exercise in La Romain yesterday morning.
According to police, two men were found inside a house on Ashley Street, off Pond Street, around 5:20AM, armed with firearms.
When confronted by police, both men allegedly raised their weapons, despite repeated instructions to drop them, prompting officers to fire at the suspects.
Both men were shot and later pronounced dead at San Fernando General Hospital.
A loaded 9-millimetre pistol and a revolver were recovered from the scene.
