Hundreds of children across St Augustine have received a helping hand ahead of the new school term.
Yesterday, St Augustine MP, Local Government Minister, Khadijah Ameen led the distribution of hundreds of backpacks filled with essential school supplies to children and families across the constituency.
The Back-to-School Drive reached communities including North Bank Road, Caroni, Macoya, Substation Road in Piarco, Monte Grande and Bamboo Settlement Number Three.
In a Facebook post, Ms Ameen said the initiative is about easing the burden on families and ensuring children are better prepared for the return to school.
