A T&T Coast Guard patrol yesterday sailed to the assistance of a distressed boat flying a French flag.
The sailing vessel MANA ORA suffered a loss of propulsion and began drifting while north of Trinidad.
A maritime distress report was issued, with the TTS Scarborough responding.
According to the TTCG, a towing operation was executed to render assistance.
Its statement however did not disclose where the vessel was taken, or how many people were on board at the time of the incident.
