T&T is working to establish a national prosthetics centre.
This revelation came today from Health Minister, Dr Lackram Bodoe, during CARPHA’s 70th Annual Health Research Conference in Guyana.
Participating virtually in a Ministerial Panel Discussion, Dr Bodoe said the Government of India recently helped provide prosthetics for some 800 persons locally.
He added that they were “very close” to operationalizing a permanent prosthetics centre right here in T&T.
Once functional, he hopes it can also assist patients from other countries in the region.
