The T&T Chamber of Industry and Commerce has welcomed news that the lowest applicable U.S. tariff rate now applies to this country.
The Chamber says continued cooperation between T&T and the United States will be important as global trade conditions change.
It is also establishing a Trade Data Desk to assess how international trade developments affect local businesses, including costs, supply chains, exports, imports, investment and employment.
The findings will inform a Trade Impact Report aimed at supporting advocacy, policymaking and national competitiveness.
