The Transport Ministry is warning the public about fake text messages claiming to be linked to speeding violations.

In a public notice issued today, the Ministry says the messages falsely request payment within seven days to receive a 50% discount and did not originate from the Ministry or its Licensing Authority.

Members of the public are being urged not to click on any links or share personal or financial information.

The Ministry is advising citizens to rely only on official communication channels for accurate information on speeding violations and fixed penalty notice.
