The body of a toddler, whose gender has not yet been determined, has been found on a beach in Los Iros.
The Hunters Search and Rescue Team, led by Vallence Rambharat, confirmed the discovery this morning, saying the child’s body was found along a rocky shoreline.
He said the discovery is believed to be linked to a pirogue that reportedly got into difficulty in nearby waters.
Mr Rambharat said about 30 people were believed to have been on board the vessel, with most surviving, however two adults remain reported missing.
Erin Police have been notified, and a search operation is continuing for the missing persons.
