Three Tobago men have been convicted for the theft of cattle, following a police operation in Scarborough.
Officers attached to the CID, intercepted a vehicle during mobile patrols in Bacolet Gardens in May and discovered two calves hidden in the trunk.
Investigations later confirmed the animals had been stolen from a nearby property.
The accused appeared before the Scarborough Magistrates’ Court on June 9th, pleaded guilty to larceny of cattle and were fined $3000 or six months’ hard labour in default of payment.
