Next week, there will be a temporary traffic disruption along the Eastern Main Road between Mt. Lambert and St. Joseph, to facilitate testing of the new Reversible Lane Control System.
The Transport Ministry says this will take place between August 17th to 21st, from 9am to 4pm daily.
It says the exercise forms part of ongoing efforts to improve traffic operations and mobility along the Eastern Main Road.
It is intended to support more efficient use of the existing roadway by managing lane use in response to traffic demand.
During the testing period, motorists may experience temporary lane restrictions, adjustments to normal lane operations and short delays within the affected area.
Traffic Management personnel will be present to coordinate and monitor traffic conditions throughout the exercise.
