Students beach clean up

855 pounds of waste was removed from a beach clean-up exercise, by students of five secondary schools, on April 9th, at Hart’s Cut Bay in Chaguaramas.

Participants from Bishops Anstey High School East, Barataria South Secondary, El Dorado West, San Fernando East, and Tranquillity Secondary worked together, showing strong environmental responsibility.

The inaugural initiative hosted by the Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society, promotes environmental stewardship, youth engagement and community service.

Organisers say the effort highlights both the scale of coastal pollution and the role young people can play in protecting the environment.
