The North Central Regional Health Authority has refuted claims circulating online that staff lockers were forcibly broken into at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.
The Authority says no personal items were discarded, stressing that the lockers were already scheduled for removal and replacement as part of planned upgrades due to deterioration.
A cell-phone video circulating on social media shows what appears to be a staff room with several lockers forced open and emptied.
It explains that advance notice was issued, and staff was informed through their Heads of Department to remove personal belongings before the process.
The NCRHA is urging the public to disregard what it describes as a misrepresentation of a routine, approved process, and says it remains focused on ongoing improvements across its facilities
