Two monstrances stolen by from the St Mary’s RC Church in St James have been returned.
According to the Archdiocese, parishioners arriving for the 6:15am mass today found a black bag on the steps of the church.
Inside were the monstrances taken by an intruder on June 2nd.
A monstrance is a sacred vessel used in certain churches to display the consecrated Eucharistic host.
The monstrances stolen from the St James church had a total value of $15,000.
