Star Sabga has been released from prison and placed under house arrest, after the State failed to secure an extension of a court-ordered stay.
The 69-year-old was released late last night after the Court of Appeal did not extend the six-hour stay granted, following a High Court ruling ordering her release.
Sabga, who had been detained since June 25th under a Preventive Detention Order, is reportedly challenging the legality of that order.
Sabga is the aunt of Genevieve Hadeed who was recently released from custody, along with her husband Dominic.
