Shell has reportedly shelved its Aphrodite offshore gas project in Trinidad and Tobago.
According to an article by Reuters, this follows disagreements over commercial terms with NGC.
Shell is said to have given the project a positive final investment decision last year, but has since decided – for now – not to proceed with the development.
The company has reportedly told Reuters that it is in ongoing negotiations and will continue to evaluate the overall integrated project schedule.
The Aphrodite project has an expected output of around 100 million cubic feet per day of natural gas.
