A Yellow Level Adverse Weather Alert will be in place this afternoon.
The Met Service says there is a potential for the combination of local dynamics and a tropical wave to produce impactful weather.
While this will likely favour western areas of Trinidad, showers and isolated thunderstorms are still possible for other parts of both islands.
Heavy downpours can result in street/flash flooding, landslips may occur in areas that are susceptible and gusty winds may also accompany heavy downpours.
The Alert will be in place from 1pm to 5pm today, October 5th 2026.
