A Morvant man was shot dead by police in Never Dirty this morning.
During an “Operation RESOLUTE Shield” exercise between 2am and 6am, officers went to Clarence Circular in search of Kebeedy Perpignac, who was a person of interest in several homicides.
The TTPS says the suspect confronted the officers with a firearm and chose to engage instead of disarm.
He was shot several times and later died at the Port of Spain General Hospital.
A subsequent search of the premises resulted in the discovery of: an AR-15 rifle, 71 rounds of 5.56 ammunition, 16 rounds 7.62 ammunition, a blue swivel light, a pair of blue strobe lights, two black bullet-proof vests, a pair of tactical gloves, a pair of handcuffs, and a full camouflage uniform.
